First and foremost it is important to know that lashes are a commitment and will need constant maintenance, so its a good idea to plan for refills.

Before your appointment and the procedure:

Do not apply eye creams or sunscreen to the eye area, the oils found in many of these items will interfere with the adhesive from bonding and will reduce the life of your lashes.

Show up with no makeup, this will also prevent proper bonding of the extensions.Never curl your lashes before the appointment because the extensions will not properly adhere to crimped lashes.

Don't wear contact lenses to your appointment.

Once the application starts, you''ll need to keep your eyes closed while lying still as possible , we recommend you limit your caffeine if it makes you jittery.

During lash application we kindly ask that you turn your cell phone ringer off.

If its necessary to talk during the lash application, the lash artist will need to stop because movement of the facial muscles may interfere with the procedure.

Arrive at  your appointment 10 minutes prior to your start time to facilitate our check in process. We must ask each guest who gets eyelash extensions to fill out and sign a waiver and release form.

A new set takes 1 to 2 hours with touch ups anywhere from 2-4 weeks depending on how you maintain them at home

First time extensions/Important events:

We suggest you start with a trial or mini set (25 lashes) $100- 3-4 weeks prior to your event, then come to complete the set before your event. Although an allergic reaction to the adhesive is rare, we don't want your eyelids to be puffy or red on your important day, so a trial set is advised just to be safe.

Experience:

There is a big difference between an infection and an allergic reaction. Sometimes people are allergic to the adhesive, that doesn't mean that the adhesive is harmful. If you experience any burning or discomfort causing your eyes to tear up, speak up, this is often times a red flag.

Aftercare:

Be gentle with your lashes, this means no touching, rubbing water sweat or steam.

Avoid wetting lashes for 48 hours after the appointment, this will prolong the adhesive bond. The no rinse type face wipes are the best to clean the face with during the first couple of days.

Avoid running water directly on lashes

.Avoid sleeping on your face, if your a stomach sleeper we recommend wearing an eye mask while you sleep.

No eyelash curlers (heated are ok on tips only) No oil based cleaners on or near eyes. We carry lash cleansers that never damage lashes. With proper maintenance and care  for your extensions and to extend the life of your lashes we also carry serum to keep them hydrated and healthy. Waterproof mascara is never allowed on extensions so if you wear mascara stick with regular or better that that, we sell lash extension sealer, which give them a nice boost and shine. Never brush them wet- blowdry them on cool setting. Gently brush them with a clean spoolie when dry. Never try to remove lashes at home, this could lead to major irritation  and never use coconut oil on your lids or lashes.

Questions and Answers

How long will my extensions last?

You will usually lose half of the extensions in a 3 weeks For some people this could be shorter because everyone has a different lash cycle of lash growth and loss. It also depends on your lifestyle and how you treat them.

Will lash extensions damage my natural lashes?

No. Our application and technique will not damage your lashes. However, rubbing your eyes or not following aftercare instructions may cause both your natural lash along with the extension to fall out. If this happens the natural eyelash will need to grow out again.

I have lash extensions from somewhere other than Vanity Salon and Spa, will you touch them up?

No. Due to the inconsistent work done outside of our spa we are not able to perform work on existing extensions. The lashes must be removed and a new set applied The lash removal fee is $25.
